TimePlan are looking for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work with students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) needs on a one-to-one basis, as well as within groups, both within mainstream schools and specialist provisions. You will be supporting pupils, varying in both age and levels of ability, who require additional support in the classroom to promote their inclusion.

Ideally you will have experience of dealing with high level disruption and other behavioural issues in a classroom or specialist setting. You will need to be flexible in your approach to supporting children, able to read the situation of when to promote focus as well as being confident building effective relationships with pupils with behavioural needs. If you have undertaken Team Teach or MAPA training, this would be an advantage but is not essential.

To be considered for this position, all applicants must:

Hold a current and clear DBS or be happy to apply for a new DBS with TimePlan.
Be excellent practitioners who strive to understand the students they are working with.
Be able to take the initiative to develop good professional relationships and liaise with others.
Positive with energy and enthusiasm for their role.
Confident managing behaviour.Contract details:
