Maintenance Manager

Chesterfield

Competitive Salary (DOE) + Pension + 22 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

Monday to Friday, 8.30 to 5pm (some flexibility required).

Maintenance Manager required for a specialised manufacturer of construction products.

The Successful Maintenance Manager will have previous experience as a Maintenance Manager or Supervisor from a Manufacturing background, those from FMCG will be at an advantage. You will be a qualified engineer, either electrically or mechanically biased, but will need skills in both. You will have experience with CMMS systems, as well as experience of maintenance techniques TPM, PPM, CBM & RCM. Experience managing, training and coaching others.

The Maintenance Manager Role:

* Ensure work is carried out in compliance with legislation and health & safety protocols.
* On site management of all maintenance day to day activities. Provide leadership and support to team
* Positively reinforce values & maintenance strategy to all employees on an on-going basis
* Managing the timely workload of the maintenance department while effectively dealing with site priorities
* Creating & maintaining a culture driving continuous improvement programmes throughout the plant.
* Identifying cost savings and driving cost efficiency programmes within the manufacturing operation.
* Ensuring all Maintenance personnel are trained & developed so that optimum operational performance is achieved
* Working closely with departmental managers and teams to ensure that all issues are dealt with through open communications & teamwork.
* Mentor & Coach team using RCA techniques to quickly identify root cause of downtime issues
* Ensuring SAP CMMS is used to its full potential and departments are actively use system to prevent reactive work. Continuously updating CMMS to prevent future downtimes.
* Assisting in CAPEX projects as and when required. Identify future site CAPEX projects are identified before they affect KPI performance.

The Successful Maintenance Manager:
