My client is now recruiting for an Engineering Team leader to join their business
This is a great opportunity to work for a well-established and well known brand. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager your role will be to ensure that all site assets are fully operational to provide the right products at the right time to their customers. Supporting the safety of your colleagues and the quality of the products is a vital part of the role, working closely with the site departments to achieve best practice.
This Engineering role is full time permanent. Working on a shift basis. 1st week mornings 7am-3pm 2nd week afternoons 3pm-11pm
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure that all critical spares items are maintained and replenished at target levels to maintain continuity of supply and effective working capital.
* Supervise 3rd Party Suppliers of Engineering & Maintenance services at site
* Effectively use and develop AGILITY to schedule and manage the operational maintenance and engineering resource plan at site
* Identify Asset Care risks and work with the Engineering manager to ensure effective business continuity plans are in place.
* Support the Engineering manager to deliver of Engineering Projects - time, cost, quality
* Effective governance and delivery of Maintenance and plant shutdowns (planned / unplanned)
* Support Continuous Improvement, Best Practice and Controls across all Site Assets & Capability.
* Support the development of the Site Engineering team
* Ensure compliance to Company Policy, Engineering Standards, Standard Operating Procedures.
* Investigate asset breakdowns and incidents and implement root cause solutions.
* Work with the sites departments to achieve best practice for safe food & safe people across the site.
* Excellent knowledge of TPM / CI Lean theory and how to effectively translate into practice
* Extensive & demonstrable experience of packaging equipment within FMCG/Food sector manufacturing
* Knowledge of steam boilers & associated plant (BG01)
* Knowledge of water treatment plants (Reverse Osmosis)
* Expert knowledge of using planned & preventative maintenance techniques
* Experience of developing maintenance strategies and TPM
* Extensive & demonstrable experience in initiating and leading equipment reliability improvements in a high-volume, FMCG/Food manufacturing environment
* Experience of leading a multi-disciplined team of technicians and contractors
* Engineering qualification Min BTEC in either Electrical or Mechanical discipline
