Our long standing client is a global engineering company in the Energy sector.

They are now actively seeking to hire a Reporting Manager for its global projects team.

You will have responsibility for the reporting team and project financial accountants, managing our client's largest projects.

It is expected you will be a qualified accountant with team management experience, ideally on large scale construction projects, involving multiple entities and currencies.

Responsibilities:

Owning the monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting calendar, ensuring proper communication of responsibilities and deadlines throughout the teams and rigorously managing various stakeholders to ensure consistent, timely, accurate and relevant reporting.

Lead a multi-location accounting and reporting team that includes setting objectives, coaching, developing and performance management.

Management of annual Budget process for the Region.

Reporting of monthly results to Regional Management teams.

Preparation monthly financial reporting pack for Executive Committee.

Review of technical accounting matters as they arise and preparation of supporting documentation.

Ensuring that the knowledge and experience required to carry out the respective functions within the team is adequately represented across the team to minimise dependency on individual team members and ensure continuity in the performance of the designated activities.

Preparing analysis on matters relevant to the business as may be required from time to time by the GPC&AP Management.

Driving a change agenda and continuous improvement initiatives to standardise & improve processes, reporting, controls and implement best practice.

Your experience

We are looking for a determined and focused leader that takes responsibility for managing the GPC&AP Management reporting process, rigorously managing the Management Reporting calendar and driving the process to ensure consistent, timely, accurate and relevant reporting.

Strong leadership skills with an ability to lead multiple global teams to deliver against tight reporting deadlines.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Team player who can operate globally, cross-functionally and at all levels of the organisation, taking ownership and demonstrating initiative.

Desirable; Large, multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation experience.

Strong understanding of IFRS reporting requirements and interpretation of new standards.

Possess an inquisitive and analytical mindset and be able to understand the commercial and operational side of the business and relate it to the financial performance and metrics that are being reported.

Strong planning and organisational skills, with ability to manage own workload in a pressurised environment and work to tight deadlines
