SEN Teaching Assistant - Newham, East London

An outstanding East London primary is looking for an SEN experienced graduate to support the welfare of several autistic pupils. In this SEN Support Assistant post, you must be an empathetic graduate who has previous experience working with children who have special educational needs (particularly autism) and an interest in managing an extra-curricular activity. This SEN Support Assistant will require the individual to possess the attributes of flexibility and resilience in all situations and use them to challenge yourself and develop your approach.

In this exciting SEN Support Assistant position, you will be supporting the development of specific key Stage 1 pupils who have been diagnosed as autistic. The school need an individual who understands the condition and how the symptoms manifest themselves differently in all pupils. This requires from the SEN Support Assistant an ability to empathise with all ASD pupils and support accordingly.
