The ONE Group have partnered up with a local organisation with strong local government connections, to help them find a new Interim Financial Controller. You will have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, ideally gained from experience in the public or not for profit sector.
You will have strong leadership experience and not be afraid to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in with what needs to be done.
Being a qualified, and experienced finance professional, you will be an effective manager, able to take responsibility of the entire finance function, including annual budgets; and articulate its status and developments to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Source and capitalise on funding and income opportunities, and where appropriate, lead funding bids in the local area.
Be a visible member of the SLT, inspiring other junior leaders and teams to do well in their own personal performance.
Work collaboratively with other Senior Leaders to provide comprehensive evidence of performance and devise and implement improvement plans.
Lead and manage the finance team, implementing KPIs where appropriate to ensure effective performance management.
Be the lead for both internal and external audits.
