Junior IT Project Manager opportunity - Southampton, Hampshire. Up to 30k
Working for a high profile Defence company, we have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Junior Project Manager to work on multiple IT projects. This is a fantastic role to make the next step in your career within a well-established organisation.

Job Purpose & Key Responsibilities

Deliver project and related activity support to other areas of the IT department including the IT Operations Manager, IT Service Delivery Manager and the Business Information Systems Manager and contribute to the wider IT department goals
Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of IT projects on time, to specification and in budget, providing project governance and compliance
Work with other operational, delivery and functional teams to determine necessary activities to successfully deliver IT projects
Identify appropriate project methodologies to meet the customer's needs and understand the pipeline of demand and work to ensure an appropriate supply of resources to successfully deliver the project
Drive operational improvements and efficiencies through the creation and implementation of rigorous process and controls, act as a gatekeeper for quality
Provide complete project documentation e.g. PID, PCR, RAID, RAIL, PCD, Gantt etc, convene and record project meetings as necessary
Manage multiple resources to deliver projects in alignment with customer needs with transparency to Head of Business Systems
Manage and leading stakeholders towards solutions while helping them understand resource constraints and prioritisation conflicts
Generate, maintain and communicate Key Performance Indicators relating to IT projects
Experience required:

In-depth knowledge of project management principles and practices, including coaching, learning and mentoring
Proven track record of delivering IT projects in a complex, changing environment
Project management / delivery and client relationship management in a technology environment
Security:

Due to the nature of this position, we require you to be eligible to achieve SC clearance as a minimum and ideally DV clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 5 years for SC and 10 years for DV
