A fantastic role for a Senior Finance Manager working from home but with an option for hybrid working from the Derby or Chesterfield sites. Working 37.5 hours a week. This is a five-month temporary position with a pay rate of £21.67ph

You must be educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level within the finance function of a complex organisation; CCAB, ACCA, CIMA-qualified Accountant


· Provide a comprehensive finance and business support service across the organisation to enable resources to be managed effectively, efficiently and within budget.

· Ensure the financial performance is accurately reported to various committees and organisations in a timely manner

· Support the Deputy CFO to ensure that financial plans are developed and incorporated into budgets in an accurate and timely manner.

· Support the production of annual and strategic financial plans.

· Investigate and advise on highly complex financial issues and provide corporate reports/strategic financial and business planning advice.

· Participate in the regular financial plan and corporate reporting monitoring arrangements, to support the commissioning process and to ensure accurate reporting of financial information.

· Plan, develop and evaluate methods and processes for gathering, analysing, interpreting, and presenting qualitative and quantitative financial data and information.

· Analyse, interpret, and present financial data to highlight issues, risks and support decision making.

· Provide and receive highly complex, sensitive, and contentious information, presenting information, to a wide range of stakeholders in a formal setting.

· Deputise for the Assistant Chief Finance Officer as required, expanding on knowledge, skills, and experience within personal professional development.

· Oversee team members to deliver the requirements listed above, engaging, and liaising with key stakeholders, in particular:

§ supporting the delivery of day-to-day activities and projects.
§ managing the team and driving delivery of a range of business initiatives and projects.
§ supporting the identification and sharing of best practice in employee engagement.
§ operating in a highly political and sensitive environment.
§ supporting the portfolio of initiatives in demonstrating value for money for the current spend through tracking, managing, and delivering agreed benefits.

· Directly manage the team and responsible for day-to-day work assigned to the team.

· Responsible for the recruitment of team staff, chair of recruitment panels and acting as the recruiting officer.
