Position : Senior Mechanical Engineer,
Location : South Yorkshire, Rotherham
Salary : £40,000-£60,000 according to experience (negotiable)

About You :
Essential : UK Passport holder only due to the need for security clearance to a high level
- Degree Qualified in Mechanical Engineering essential
- Post Graduate Qualifications preferred (Masters, Chartered Engineer)
- Experience of FEA, ideally in a structural type of environment
- Able to provide technical solutions from complex customer requirements to include selection of appropriate materials taking into account strength, deflection, load, mass / weight, cost
- Any experience of sizing motors beneficial
- Experience of hydraulics beneficial
- Able to provide complex substantiation calculations and technical reports to support recommendations - Basis of Design, Design Risk Assessment, Substantiation Reports and FMEA
- Proficient with hand calculations and with Ansys
- Able to contribute to Design, HazOps and Risk Analysis Reviews
- Mathcad very useful and basic SolidWorks software beneficial
- Experience of complex structures, steelwork, gantries, platforms, booms, materials handling, lifting, cranes etc preferred
