Engineering Manager | £38 - £50k Per Annum | Minehead, Somerset

In your next role, you will oversee the new products coming to market to help scientific innovation.

The Role:

Your role as Engineering Manager; You will oversee the hardware team and supervise new company products coming to the scientific market. This is a varied, hands-on role and will suit someone with a background in electronics and mechanical engineering and an interest in robotics. This is a varied and interesting role, working on state-of-the-art, innovative technology. You will run the hardware team who are responsible for the design, prototyping, iteration, and test of the company's future products. You'll be joining at the beginning of an exciting new project and working closely with a great team of scientists.

You don't have to be Einstein for this role, a large part is Research and Development, you'll be working with in-house scientists to help with jargon, don't be put off by that! 25% of your time will be for engineering, the rest is about running and operating the team to meet targets.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years commercial experience as an Engineer in either Mechanical, Electronic or Robotics field
  • Experience in a management or leadership role in an engineering environment, preferably robotics
  • Experience in NPD or NPI with a hands-on mentality
  • Ability to coach other and strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong people, project management and report writing skills
  • Strong interest in technology, innovation, and robotics
