Ford & Stanley - The Rail Recruitment Experts are recruiting an ERMTS Maintenance Specialist for an innovative and successful Freight Operating Company.

The Opportunity

Joining a brand-new project team ahead of the ERTMS implementation, this role will allow the successful applicant to be involved in the early stages of implementing a system that will become standard practice throughout the UK over the coming years.

You will have input in the initial implementation of the system and subsequent maintenance therein, acting as frontline technical support and providing training to technicians.

Location (s):

South West. Bristol, Bath, Shepton Mallet, Frome, Wells, Glastonbury, Bridgwater, Yeovil

Role and Responsibilities:

Provide input into initial implementation designs for the new system.
Plan and oversee scheduled maintenance programmes.
Be the first line support for technical assistance.
The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding and background in locomotive/rolling stock maintenance, coupled with an analytical and fault-finding skillset.

This role will require a lot of unsupervised work so self-determination and motivation are essential.

Essentials

Technical background with rolling stock maintenance.
Fault-finding and analytical mindset.
Motivated and able to work from own initiative.
Desirable

NVQ and/or apprenticeship background.
Previous experience writing and/or implementing training programmes.
