The Mander Portman Woodward (MPW) college group will be inaugurating international summer schools in Birmingham and Cambridge in 2022. We are advertising several Residential Skills Teacher & House Parent positions; the role entails teaching two hours of afternoon skills lessons over a six-week period (25/06/22 - 05/08/22) for five days per week, as well as leading and supervising children aged 15-17 during activities and excursions.

This role would particularly suit student teachers looking to acquire paid work experience during the summer holidays.

Roles & Duties
Duties include...

• ...teaching ten hours of afternoon skills lessons each week: topics are Critical Thinking, Entrepreneurship, Public Speaking, Creative Problem Solving, Making an Impact, and Resilience
• ...supervising students in accommodation areas and accompanying them on excursions
• ...assisting with airport transfers

Schemes of work, lesson plans and all teaching resources will be provided.

Dates & Deadlines
These are fixed-term, temporary positions. The contract of employment runs from Saturday 25 June to Friday 5 August 2022.

The deadline for applications is 3 December 2021.
