Purchase ledger clerk job for a manufacturing company located in Swinton paying up to £13 per hour.
Your new company
This highly collaborative company are looking for a purchase ledger clerk to join there finance team on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join an ever-growing finance team on a temporary basis to develop your skills and experience.
Your new role
You will be reporting to the finance manager and will play a vital role in the accounts payable function. You will be processing purchase ledger transactions in an accurate and timely manor. On a day-to-day basis you will be processing high volumes of purchase invoices, requesting and reviewing supplier statements. Generating BACs payments and issuing cheques to suppliers while monitoring the GR/IR (Good received / Invoice receipt) account. You will also ensure that internal controls are fully documented and compiled efficiently while assisting external auditors with year-end requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have previous purchase ledger experience as this will allow you to hit the ground running. Having SAP experience will be highly advantageous to your application but is not essential as long as you have strong finance systems knowledge so you can quickly learn the system on the job. You will have a proactive work ethic and have a strong attention to detail.
What you'll get in return
You will receive up to £13 per hour and will receive 25 days holiday plus bank. The role will be predominantly office based but there is free onsite parking. The role will be 37 hours with some flexibility of the working hours. You will also be joining a highly collaborative team who are always expanding and growing.
