Account Manager Job Description

We are looking for a talented, motivated Account Manager to join the team here at Havas.

A successful candidate will bring enthusiasm, interest in the industry and clear communication skills to support their team.

There are four broad areas in which we would like to see experience, combining behaviours and skill sets as follows:

Client Love

A successful candidate may have experience building relationships with junior and mid-level clients but at least will have done so internally within their agency to ensure smooth running of their accounts.

They will be professional, positive and have an energetic attitude. Able to grasp systems to ensure they work in order to avoid delivery challenges and will be able to escalate to their Account Director.

Successful candidates will have an interest in understanding media channels, their uses, costs and expectations for results. They will also be able to display passionate interest in the industry and the client's business.

Creativity and Fame

We are looking for people who display an interest in creative work and are able to talk confidently about their view. They will be able to articulate an opinion on most categories, considering both strategy and execution.

They will understand client feedback with a view to supporting the team in the next steps required.

Commercial Acumen

Successful candidates will be able demonstrate awareness of how the agency makes money and be able to share key commercial business and data with the team. They will understand the importance of accurate financial information and anticipate the teams financial needs e.g. finance WIP management, PO recovery and billing instruction.

Ways of Working

A successful candidate will need experience in being able to demonstrate great attention to detail with regards to all pre and post meeting administration including resource management, contact reports and follow ups.

They will become guardians of campaign guard books and server organisation and will need to understand scope of work documents and learn how to use agency systems. Experience of this will be advantageous.
