Job DescriptionThis is a key role within the AUK Category team leading our Super Premium beer category agenda across priority customers. The category manager will drive insight and influence at head offices ensuring our portfolio of branded beers gain a greater share of distribution, space, and primary positions on shelf and chiller.

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead the customer range reviews and category tender process to ensure best practice is instilled and successful outcomes are optimised.
  • Establish fully aligned distribution, space and category development KPIs by priority account integrated within the JBP process.
  • Support Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Asahi Super Dry, and AUK Portfolio providing analytics and support for core bands and NPD within the Category context.
  • Shape innovative category solutions that drive profitability and availability for the AUK brand portfolio with the UK market.
  • Manage work flow effectively ensuring all priorities are met whilst maintaining strong working relationships with all sales and customer stakeholders.
  • Spot capability development needs in the business in your areas of expertise (Category, shopper, analytics) and develop solutions to drive capability across the company.
  • Fluency with key market data sources / tools (Nielsen, Kantar, IRI, DunnHumby)
  • Familiarity with Planogramming software - JDA or Nielsen Spaceman
QualificationsYour Ideal Background
  • Degree educated with demonstrable FMCG experience
  • Fluency with Category Management approach / techniques / tools
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present to a senior audience
  • Experience within the Convenience & Wholesale channels
  • Exposure to emerging channels and digital trade platforms
