Day Support Worker, preferably with experience of SEN, but not essential, required to support our client who is an 18-year-old with complex medical needs living in Taunton.
A great opportunity to be working alongside a teenage boy and his family, in their own home. Our client is looking for someone who is kind, caring and ideally has some experience of SEN, in addition to experience of working with children and young people with learning difficulties and challenging behaviours.
The role will involve all aspects of his personal care. Appropriate training will be given.
Shift pattern is as follows:
Week One - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, either 8.00am - 5.00pm or 8.00am - 8.00pm.
Week Two - Monday, Tuesday and Saturday, either 8.00am - 5.00pm or 8.00am - 8.00pm.
There will be the option to pick up extra shifts to cover for holidays and sickness.
The successful applicant will take our client to school and care for him within school.
Our client seeks someone who is well organised, flexible, who can fit in with a family environment and has had experience of working with children with special needs.
Rates of pay: £12.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £14.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday.
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable but not essential. Full Mandatory/Core training will be provided.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce Barring. A full driving licence is essential.
