Armstrong Teasdale Ltd is seeking two Corporate solicitors to join its London office.

About you

With good corporate experience, you will be a team player with a flexible approach to work. You should have a confident and professional manner, be results-driven, pro-active and able to exercise a high degree of self-management along with the ability to prioritise. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, as are strong communication and negotiating skills, and a professional attitude to work.

You will be able to demonstrate high levels of initiative and motivation, as well as the ability to work in and across teams. You should have the ability to manage assigned tasks in an assertive, efficient and timely manner, as well as the flexibility to work outside normal office hours as may be required from time-to-time.

You will have:

· Recognised professional qualification as a Solicitor entitling the fee-earner to practise in England and Wales. Current practising certificate (or entitlement to obtain one) from the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

· 2 to 7 years' PQE

· Demonstrable hands-on experience in handling corporate transactions particularly mergers and acquisitions and private fundraisings

· Demonstrable client relationship management skills

· Demonstrable project and time management skills

· Educated to degree level, preferably in Law, having achieved a minimum 2:1

· Intermediate Word and Outlook 2013/2016; basic Excel and PowerPoint 2013/2016

· Excellent oral and written (including spelling) communication skills; English at native speaker standard

· Experience of managing own workload effectively, particularly in a pressured environment

It would be desirable for you to have:

· Hands-on experience working in capital markets and AIM transactions

· Experience gained, preferably, in a private practice environment

· Knowledge of document management systems

· Additional language skills

About the role

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

· Make a profitable contribution to the work of the Department, meeting fee and time targets

· Contribute to the successful development of the Department and Firm in line with strategy, including participation in business development activities and promotion

· Manage work as allocated, providing an excellent level of service to clients

· Keep up-to-date with developments in law, taking responsibility for self-development and ensuring CPD is observed

· Meet SRA requirements as they relate to professional conduct and comply with the Solicitors' Account Rules

Additionally, all members of staff are expected to

· Comply with the Firm's internal procedures, including those relating to time recording, billing and file management

· Comply with current law and practices of the Firm with regards to Anti Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Bribery

· Manage internal relationships within the Firm to contribute to a positive working environment for everyone, including compliance with law and practices around bullying, harassment and discrimination
