Thriving & Creative Pupil Referral Unit in Bexley is recruiting for a part time MPS or UPS English Teacher/ Teacher of English. This role is to start with immediate effect.

This PRU caters to children diagnosed with ASC/ SEMH & Behaviour Difficulties. Outstanding Senior Leadership Team, Behaviour support staff & SEN Teachers. All SEN teaching staff at this PRU have been graded a minimum of "Good" in lesson observations. Children range from 7 - 18 years old. Pupils respond positively to fun, engaging, empathetic and dedicated staff.

New opportunity has arisen for either an NQT or Experienced MPS or UPS English Teacher / Teacher of English who can teach KS3, GCSE English & Functional Skills. Class sizes are smaller and range between 5 - 7 children in the class. Must be a well-qualified Secondary trained teacher (ie Teach First /PGCE/ SCITT/ GTP/ Cert Ed or QTS). You MUST have taught English Literature, English Language at both KS3 & GCSE levels. Also you will have taught children with challenging behaviour (ie SEMH/ CAMHS / ADHD/ ASD/ MLD/ Behaviour Difficulties etc) in either a Mainstream School/ Alternative Provision/ Pupil Referral Unit or SEN School.

Your Teaching certificate (ie PGCE/ SCITT/ Teach First/GTP/ Cert Ed / QTS etc).
MPS or UPS NQTs and Experienced Teacher of English (** English Literature & language Teacher only and NOT Suitable for a EAL/ ESOL/ TEFL/ TESOL/ EFL/ ESL etc Teachers**.)
Great SEN teaching experience ( ie CAMHS/ SEMH/ Complex Needs/ ASC/ MLD/ ADHD/ Behaviour etc)
You have worked in either a Alternative Provision (AP)/ Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) / SEN School or Mainstream School
You have taught KS3 & GCSE English
Enhanced DBS with the update service or able to pay for a new DBS ASAP
Able to build a strong rapport with your pupils
In close commuting distance to Bexley
