Our client, a global enterprise technology company, based in Reading, is currently hiring for a EMEA Payroll Specialist to gather and process inputs to the payroll vendor to support the gross to net calculation in accordance with the prescribed timetables.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver payroll reports within the specified timeframes
  • Completion of payroll reconciliation
  • Works to support the team as assigned, enabling the business through technology enhancements.
  • Performs detailed verification, review and preparation of payroll updates as required from vendor interface files, self-service or manual updates.
  • Work closely with the payroll providers and local HR to ensure local compliance practices are being followed and all employment tax, government and local filings are being submitted in a timely manner. This includes all year end activities and BIK reporting
  • Support activities in support of testing changes impacting transactional processing that are the result of system upgrades, enhancements or changes brought about from policy, processing changes, vendor or legal review.
  • Understands the end-to-end functional processes as well as how the functional processes integrate with the overall end-to-end payroll processes.

Requirements
  • Strong experience with EMEA Payroll processing responsibilities and system applications.
  • Experience with end-to-end payroll processing requirements.
  • Understanding of year end processing procedures and payroll rules.
  • Knowledgeable on Core HR and Payroll data elements.
  • General understanding of required compliance with legal, regulatory, and financial requirements governing functional tasks and activities.
  • Ability to manage large work volumes, show flexibility, adapt easily to change

This is a full time, contract position for an initial period of 6 months with the option to extend and/or become permanent (although this is not guaranteed).
