An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Britten Norman. Due to ongoing growth, we are now recruiting for a B1 licensed Aircraft Maintenance Team Leader to join us at our Lee-on-the-Solent team.

What you will do

The Team Leader will be responsible for ensuring that aircraft maintenance activities are completed to ensure regulatory airworthiness, company procedures and quality requirements are rigorously adhered to. You will also be responsible for supervising a skilled team of technicians and apprentices.

Specifically the role will involve:
  • Day to day supervision of your team
  • Carrying out aircraft maintenance, inspection and repair
  • Scheduling work to meet delivery programmes
  • Certifying work within the scope of Company Authorisations
  • Ensuring quality standards are maintained
  • Regular reporting on work being carried out within the team
  • Mentoring junior team members

What we are looking for
  • Strong communications skills both verbal & written
  • Able to work well under pressure & achieve tight deadlines
  • Keen eye for detail & able to follow required processes
  • Experience in a similar role on light utility, unpressurised aircraft
  • Fault identification, isolation and rectification
  • Sheet metal work and airframe riveting experience
  • Working on light turbo-prop fixed wing aircraft (desirable)

Qualifications Required
  • Part 66 B1.1 and/or B1.2 License
  • Aircraft Type BN2T/ Group 3 Rating (may be offered to the successful candidate)
  • 5 GCSEs including English & Maths at Grade C or above

  • 33 days holiday (inclusive of Bank and Public Holidays)
