Complex and Major Loss Manager

ISS Facility Services - Restoration provides damage management and associated services to Private and Public Sector organisations, including Local Authority and Insurance customers. Our complex and major loss team is strategically placed across the country, for an excellent response wherever an incident occurs. Our approach to these claims is to provide a strong, professional and effective response that will assist a Loss Adjuster or Insurer in delivering successful claim management and delighting the client with a first class, professional service.

Job Purpose:

We are currently on the look out for a proactive and forward-thinking Complex and Major loss Manager to join our Restoration department within the Complex and Major Loss team. You must have previous Restoration experience and have a sound understanding of the related insurance life cycle.

Responsible and accountable to the Complex & Major Loss Director for the implementation and growth within the area of complex and major losses. This will include mentoring, winning, processing and successful conclusion of projects in line with company strategy.

The Complex & Major Loss Manager is responsible for the procurement, processing and successful conclusion of projects within agreed financial parameters, operating procedures and all legislative requirements covering both operational and personnel training requirements.

This is a field-based role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive our strategic objective of lower volume and >AJV by ensuring best practice is delivered throughout the business.

• The C&ML Manager will act as a mentor to all Project Managers and Supervisors.

• Manage and ensure that all the administrative, operational, Quality and Health & Safety aspects of the projects are delivered to the client in line with the expectations and requirements of the Company, in particular our Management Procedures.

• Responsible for producing and negotiating the report and costs with the client and loss adjuster using commercial skills to maximise the profitability for the Company whilst at the same time delivering an economic solution to the client.

• Regular contact with the loss adjuster and customer to ensure the smooth running of the project and to promote future business.

• Responsible for the collection of overdue or outstanding debtors in conjunction with credit control and responsible for recording and resolving client concerns and complaints.

• Develop relationships and promote brand awareness through the planning and execution of promotional visits to the offices of loss adjusters, insurers, insurance brokers and other intermediaries on a national basis both independently and in conjunction with the Sales team. Responsible for the periodic arranging of presentations to groups of loss adjusters and insurers and other groups in the marketplace on a national basis.

• The C&ML Manager's role is national and as such will work from the Regional Offices as necessary. They may be deployed to overseas projects as the need arises and in agreement with the Complex & Major Loss Director.

Qualifications & Experiences:

• Previous experience in a Major Loss function or role.

• Specialist knowledge of the Restoration industry.

• Several years' experience working in a management role within the Restoration industry.

• Financially astute.

• Proven track record of effective negotiating and influencing skills.

• Proven track record of commercial and financial awareness in a client and business environment.

• Ability to achieve deadlines, work under pressure and use own initiative

• Ability to operate at all levels throughout the organisation.

• High level of verbal and written communication / presentation skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, employees and teams at all levels.

• Ability to engage and lead teams and motivate staff to perform at a high level of performance.

• Able to command credibility and be able to influence.

• High degree of initiative, creativity and wide scope for discretion.
