Exciting Management Consultancy plc who recently undertook a hugely successful IPO, require a Finance Manager to join their London HQ. The group also offers creative, digital marketing and procurement and transformation services through its UK subsidiaries. Market cap has trebled in the last 18 months and the business continue to be highly ambitious with growth plans.

The role is broad covering core finance, tax and treasury. The ideal candidate will come from a practice background with extensive tax experience, in particular U.S Tax.

The Role -

  • Liaison with third-party tax consultants to ensure accurate filing and settlement of all direct (e.g. corporation tax), indirect (e.g. VAT) and payroll (UK PAYE, NIC etc) taxes across all jurisdictions
  • Responsible for the accurate accounting of all tax transactions, including deferred tax accounting
  • Quarterly UK VAT return preparation, including accounting processing across all entities
  • Maintenance of multiple banking and payment platforms and associated supplier data in the accounting system, to ensure all business liabilities are captured and settled on time
  • Cash flow forecasting and planning
  • Optimisation of cash balances and managing foreign exchange risk while ensuring minimisation of transaction costs
  • Management of the twice-monthly payment run for suppliers, contractors and staff expenses
  • Accounting for the Parent Company, including journal posting and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Deputising for the Finance Manager (Accounting, control and reporting) on management accounting and financial reporting when they are engaged in M&A activity
  • Deputising for the Finance Principal as and when necessary
  • Actively contribute to improvement of processes and the Group's internal control environment
  • Participation in and support on various business improvement projects as required

The Person -

  • 1-2 years' post qualified experience (PQE)
  • Experience of tax compliance, reporting and accounting
  • Treasury - Experience of payments and treasury process
  • ACA qualification
  • A minimum 2:1 degree
