Financial Accountant - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract - Fully Remote
Your new company
Your new organisation is a public sector organisation that is looking to restructure their finance team. The purpose of this role is be able to hit the ground running to support the Finance Manager with the re-implementation of finance systems and continue to review and improve the existing procedures.
Your new role
You will be responsible for reviewing current processes and procedures within the finance team and drive continuous improvements. You will be identifying opportunities to streamline and automate existing procedures and tasks. You will be reviewing the process of recording and monitoring income is accurate and the correct VAT treatment is advised. You will be supporting the service charge review and working with the wider finance team to implement any recommendations that arise from the review.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed you will be a qualified accountant (ideally ACCA, but would also accept CIMA), that has previous experience of developing and using financial systems, specifically able to use Open Accounts. You will have experience of implementing business improvements. Ideally you will have experience within housing associations, but this is not essential.
