The Design Director Role:

We are looking for a social savvy creative leader who understands the nuances of the social and digital landscape, and how to make performant content optimised for individual channels and touch points. You will be the driving force of the studio, utilising your excellence in brand strategy, conceptual creative and positive team leadership skills to galvanise the studio team and inspire the delivery of the highest quality of work.

You will work across multiple work streams and teams, responsible for all aspects of the studio workflow and be in charge of ensuring that all output is above and beyond client expectations.

You will have a consistent presence with clients, ensuring all partners have a creative contact to ideate, liaise and problem solve with, ensuring these relationships are fostered, nurtured and developed so accounts can be grown over time.

You will be responsible for the career development and pastoral care of the studio design team, working closely with all individuals on a day-to-day basis to develop not only their work, but also build out skill sets and improve their confidence. You will also work closely with the Directors and the rest of the Senior Management Team, to drive company initiatives, including studio marketing and promotion as well as leading in the fun social events.

About You:

As a respected designer your team will look up to you for support, creative brilliance and good old fashioned leadership. As such, you’ll need to be a genuine people person, happy and able to bring out the best in your team, with the tools to navigate issues with ease and speed.

You will be experienced in resource management (FT and Freelance), able to juggle multiple concurrent projects and use resources efficiently to move work through the studio in the optimal ways. This is the perfect role for a positive, hands-on creative leader who can manage a talented studio that works at pace delivering a wide variety of social and digital focussed creative content for exciting global clients.

Note: this is not a branding role. Our clients are popular brands who look to us to lead the design output across social using their existing brand guidelines. We just wanted to get that there to avoid that awks 2nd interview Oh!….
