Job Description
LMK is looking for an organized, creative and dynamic Fundraising Manager to diversify and drive forward its fundraising activity, growing income streams. Reporting to the Co-Founders, the successful candidate will sit on the Senior Management Team, working closely with the Evaluation Manager, Programme Manager and Relationship Manager.

The Fundraising Manager will have a substantial, proven track record of successful fundraising and developing and sustaining partnerships in the third sector; and of how to build financial sustainability in a fast-growing organisation. They will be highly organized, creative and bring excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to inspire others about their work.

Joining the team at a moment of expansion, the Fundraising Manager would provide the fuel for this growth as well as valuable thought leadership to the charity's senior managers and Board of Trustees, helping them expand into new areas, increase sustainability and deepen relationships with key stakeholders. Finally, the Fundraising Manager will be passionate about the work that we do creating a prevention programme against domestic violence, relationship abuse and sexual assault for young people in London.


Drive forward the charity's fundraising operations, growing income streams, with an emphasis on diversification. This will include prospect research, prioritisation and bid writing.
To establish a corporate supporters programme and individual giving campaigns, plus develop effective stewardship systems for all donors, including trusts and foundations.
Responsibility for retaining and engaging the charity's supporters, including providing formal reports and updates on the work of the charity.
Strategic responsibility for fundraising, including working with the charity's co-founders on a 3-year fundraising plan, partnership development and maintaining the charity's strong relationships with a range of funding partners.
Contribute to the overall direction of LMK - analysing the long-term fundraising needs, outlining any necessary changes to operations or strategy and offering quarterly fundraising reports to board
Working closely with the senior management team, particularly evaluation, to make sure the necessary monitoring is in place for all funding applications.
Report to LMK's Co-Founders and manage freelance bid writers at busy periods.
Carry out all duties and responsibilities in line with LMK's policies and procedures.

Essential Skills

A strong commitment to young people, and an appreciation of why relationship education is vital for health and happiness.
A proven track record managing fundraising for a charity, achieving specified targets and securing 5 or 6 figure sums, managing the donor cycle from initial stages through to stewardship.
Knowledge of fundraising from a variety of sources, including some of the following: corporates, major donors, events, individual giving, local authorities and trusts and foundations.
Organizational skills - employing tactics to manage and prioritise workload and manage a number of projects with deadlines at the same time.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail, with the ability to communicate clearly, succinctly and in an engaging manner in person and in writing to a variety of audiences
A 'start-up mentality' - self-motivated, comfortable with change and collaborative.
Ability to work flexibly, adapting to a rapidly changing demands and opportunities while retaining clear strategic focus.
Able to build meaningful relationships with a variety of people both internally and externally.
Motivated by working for an organisation with a strong social purpose
Excellent team working, collaboration and people skills in particular the ability to articulate ideas to colleagues and senior management
Excited at the prospect of playing a vital role in LMK's growth across London.
A knowledge of the VAWG sector, Education sector or working with young people would be preferable, although not essential.
Able to work in a way that celebrates diversity, upholds LMK values and respects everyone LMK interacts with (including: volunteers, staff members, stakeholders and workshop participants).

CPD and Safeguarding

Hold a DBS certificate or be willing to let us run a check.
