Are you an experienced Senior Account Manager looking to build on your account management experience by being responsible for managing the relationships for two of our large retail clients?

The Senior Account Manager role is responsible for leading our work with clients and their accounts. You'll work closely as part of an established account specialist team alongside project managers to deliver work on brief, on time and within budget, all while ensuring that the clients needs are satisfied.

You'll be actively responsible for nurturing the existing client-agency relationships and growing opportunities for the future through consistent delivery and remarkable service.

  • Working alongside Project Managers on each account to take ownership for the day to day CXO programme on two large retail clients, as well as ad hoc projects
  • Responsible for the effective and organised management of client feedback to the agency /PM and handling any push backs from agency to client
  • Responsible for obtaining both internal and external stakeholder approvals
  • Responsible for following up all client contact promptly
  • Ensuring that all relevant internal stakeholders are informed of potential issues with suggested solutions before they escalate
  • Manage client expectations, especially work allocations taking in to account internal resource availability & and budgets
  • Be the expert on the client's needs whilst gaining an understanding of their industry/market, spotting opportunities to suggest more work
  • Be the client's trusted partner
  • Be completely buttoned down on the admin and systems of the account including responsibility for weekly status meetings
  • Responsible for all client meetings ensuring agendas are issued
  • Have a solid understanding of each client's budget performance including overburn and underburn, be able to contribute to discussions in internal budget meetings and flag any concerns to the Finance Director. You'll be able to offer assistance in the case of over / under burn by coming up with solutions, and will be aware of each client's budget performance in comparison to the wider company's overall budget
  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure, while maintaining the standards expected
  • Significant experience in professional client relationship management. You'll be able to hold your own in occasionally challenging circumstances and will be able to manage client expectations with tact and discretion, whilst seeking out client opportunities.
  • The ability to plan and strategise at a senior level, bringing in team leads when required to respond to briefs and opportunities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A keen attention to detail and budgetary restraints
  • The willingness to note relevant trends and develop ideas
  • The ability to work as an authoritative figure in a busy team
  • Ability to motivate a team and work as a team player
  • Previous experience of working in fast-paced environments with multiple briefs and clients
  • Has experience working in a digitally led environment, with exposure to projects including development & creative.
