Rutherford Briant are recruiting for an experienced Corporate Finance Manager to join a leading Corporate Finance and Forensic Accounting firm in East Anglia.

This company have emerged as one of the leading independent corporate finance and advisory firms in the Eastern region. They are instructed as advisers for both sell-side and buy-side clients in company transactions. This includes outright disposals to trade and private equity purchasers; acquisition mandates to achieve growth objectives and numerous management buyouts (MBOs), management buy ins (MBIs) and minority shareholder exits.

This firm also provide independent expert witness services to the legal profession and on advisory projects for corporate clients. The two accredited expert witnesses have completed over 1000 instructions. Forensic accounting cases are varied and include civil litigation such as share valuation in different types of cases, professional negligence, employee fraud, shareholder and tax disputes.

This is an exciting role for an individual with substantial experience within practice including some advisory work such as business valuation, corporate finance, project work or forensic accounting. The role offers the opportunity to join a successful advisory firm and to gain experience in both forensic accounting and corporate finance. The entrepreneurial culture of the firm will allow the individual to develop their skillsets and to find their own niche within the team and progress.

Preferred skills and experience:

The preferred candidate will be either ACA/ACCA qualified (4 + years) and must have significant experience gained within a UK practice environment. Some advisory experience is essential whether in corporate finance, business valuation, project work or forensic accounting.

Strong written communication skills and a good understanding of financial reporting are essential as well as a willingness to get stuck in. Knowledge of financial modelling and/or advanced excel skills is required. There will be the opportunity to support the Directors on business development and to develop your own network.
