Azure Data Engineer
Banking Start-Up

My client are a rapidly growing Banking start-up who are looking to challenge the the way we save money. As a Data Engineer you will focus on their core areas "retail savings" and "lifestyle products" but will also be exposed to wider business functions as they continue to grow.

Role responsibilities
  • Participate in the workshops to gather requirement from different business area and implement them into the data design
  • Plan, design and develop data solutions using, Azure data lake gen2, Azure SQL, Azure Analysis Services and Azure Data Factory
  • Debugging, monitoring and troubleshooting ETL solutions
  • Writing relational and multidimensional database queries
  • Ensure that the architectural principles and standards are maintained
  • Provide the best practices and guidelines for managing data of different levels of complexity
  • Provide hands-on support for all Data related activities within the BI Team

  • Understanding of Data Architecture / Data Modelling. Understanding of Kimball DW methodology.
  • Experienced in SQL
  • Data Modelling experience
  • Able to deliver a broad range of data engagements in areas such as Data Architecture, Data Integration, Data Analytics, Data Lineage, Data Governance, Data Quality and BI Reporting
  • Use of data profiling tools, ETL and data management tools
  • Full project lifecycle experience - End To End Delivery
  • Experience working with a source control solution (Azure DevOps, Git or similar
  • Azure cloud knowledge with (Azure SQL Server,Azure Data lake gen2 Azure Data Factory Azure DevOps)
  • Experience in Python or another programming language like Java, C#
