Senior Divisional ManagerSalary: £43 - 47,000 per annum + Car Allowance or Company Car (Dependent on Mileage)Contract Length: PermanentHours: 35 hours per week We're open to a variety of flexible working optionsLocation: Homebased with travel across the division. The division covers, Yorkshire, The Lake District, Manchester, Leeds , Liverpool and Sheffield. Our Supporter Led Fundraising team, work across the country, building relationships with our supporters in their own communities to identify anyone who may have an interest in supporting our life-saving work. Whether that's individuals, local fundraising groups and committees, or regional corporate partners. Our sector leading team work hard and to contribute upwards of £30m towards our life-saving research. Why we need youOut Divisional Senior Managers will lead and motivate a divisional team across a certain geographical patch of the country. You will have two direct reports but oversee and are accountable for a team of approx. 20. You will be responsible for the operational delivery of cross-portfolio business objectives and engage with supporters to build strong and long-lasting relationships. You will be an ambassador for CRUK for your divisional, providing strategic oversight and galvanising collaborative activity. We at CRUK believe a diverse workforce will help us beat Cancer Sooner. Make an impact every day by:Lead and motivate a divisional team to ensure a consistent approach to delivery, reporting and performance management, while providing matrix management and leadership to other roles across the divisionDevise and maintain a divisional strategy using knowledge of local insights to adapt national and Communities strategies to maximise impactBe a member of the wider senior management team, providing strategic direction for the business and cultural development of the divisional team in line with CRUK's corporate plan, and wider strategy. Taking collective responsibility for the performance of our entire product portfolioDevelop and build excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders to increase knowledge of the sector, identify and secure new opportunitiesBe the divisional coordinator, galvanising One CRUK collaborative activity across CRUK's portfolio with the aim of bringing communities together to advance CRUK's core purpose What skills are you looking for?You'll be able to bring to the role:Significant field-based people management experience with the ability to develop, manage, empower and motivate others to meet organisational requirementsSignificant experience of developing and implementing strategy, policy and operating plans, making future focussed, well-informed decisions and articulating these clearlyA strong self-awareness that allows you to play to your strengths and manage your development areasExcellent relationship, negotiating and influencing skills; with team, internal and external stakeholdersConfident communication skills with the ability to adapt your style to different people or situations and significant experience of delivering complex information to large audiencesExperience of setting, monitoring and achieving budgets would be beneficial for this role AdditionalWilling to work unsociable hours, travel extensively and stay away from home as required.
