Six Degrees is undertaking a transformation discovery programme, which aims to identify ways to reduce our cost to serve, improve revenue retention, improve client satisfaction and support Six Degrees' growth. This programme will incorporate a wide-ranging review of the fitness-for-purpose of a number of our core systems and tools, as well as the addition of those which we see as essential in the delivery of our strategy (such as a fit-for-purpose Customer Relationship Management system). We have identified a range of foundational work which is also required in order to best position Six Degrees for the next phase of its growth, including improving the quality and management of our corporate and client data, ensuring more rigorous process management and a more streamlined business overall.
The discovery programme will entail end-to-end review of business process and practice, systems and tools, and engaging with key stakeholders to document as-is and end-states, identify challenges and quick wins, and form the basis of the subsequent transformation. The Project Manager will play an integral role in driving this discovery activity; transformation activity is then expected to encompass a series of wide-ranging, organisation-wide people, process and technology initiatives for which the Project Manager will play an integral role.
• Manage either a single project or a portfolio of initiatives
• Develop and manage all aspects of project and programme engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
• Provide leadership for project team to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
• Identify and develop trusted adviser relationship with project and programme stakeholders and sponsors
• Provide status reporting on project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership
• Deliver appropriate and effective Executive-level communication
• Participate and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders
• Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
• Act as an internal quality control check for the project
• Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organisation
• Demonstrated ability to build out project specifications - planning, scoping, mapping key activities, deliverables, resource requirements, milestones and deadlines
• Project management (without close supervision or guidance) - governance, planning, control, monitoring, reporting and project team management
• Evidence of successfully building and running project teams with both commercial and technical aspects
• Business transformation projects or programmes desirable but not essential
• Demonstrated experience in successfully managing stakeholder relationships at all levels
• Software and systems development methodologies and the appropriate application of these methodologies to project
• Desire and ability to work in a very fast moving and demanding environment
• Experience negotiating vendor contracts desirable
• Experience with project methodologies e.g. Agile, SCRUM, SDLC) is desirable
