£20,068 - £21,262 per annum

The Role

Our College is a diverse and vibrant place to work and an opportunity has arisen to join the Finance team as Payroll & Finance Officer. You will be working alongside the Senior Payroll Officer and with the Financial Transaction Processing Manager in a key role in the accurate and timely processing of pay for our valued colleagues at College. You will support the processing of all payroll related transactions and liaise with colleagues across the College with any queries. You will work closely with the financial reporting team to ensure the correct finance related information is held on the payroll system and support with the calculation of overtime payments. This is an interesting and varied role in which you will also undertake some finance related duties to support the wider Finance team and also get involved with College wide activities, such as open events, enrolment and graduation events..

What we are looking for

You should have a Level 3 payroll qualification or have extensive and recent experience in payroll processing. You should have knowledge and experience of pension processing and experience of Computerised Payroll Packages. You should have the ability to work within a team with minimum supervision, in a fast paced environment and working to tight deadlines. Good computer literacy on Microsoft Office products, especially on Excel are also essential. A knowledge of defined benefit schemes is desirable.
