ADHD Teaching Assistant required in Dalston, Hackney

This incredible Primary School located in Dalston, Hackney are looking to recruit an inspiring ADHD Teaching Assistant to work closely with one of their KS1 pupils for the remainder of the academic year in addition to providing SEND and SEMH support to a other pupils in the class...

As an ADHD Teaching Assistant, you will:
  • Work alongside the school SENDCo and an Educational Psychologist.
  • Provide effective support to less experienced colleagues, modelling good practice!
  • Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8:30-4pm
  • Create and prepare materials for 1:1 and classroom sessions to inspire learning and engagement.
  • Keep written records of each pupil observation.
  • Supporting the emotional needs of this KS2 pupil.
This ADHD Teaching Assistant role will include incredible in house and external training, created to further develop your profile, and there will be support and supervision from the SENDCo. You will be supporting a willing KS1 pupil who has an EHCP for Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The school have described him as a delightful pupil who requires additional support, especially with managing his emotions. Please note that to be considered for this role you must have experience supporting Children with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and be comfortable supporting with all special educational needs.
