Our client - a precision manufacturer & distribute based in Leicester - is seeking an experienced Group Accountant to manage the finance function in order to provide a professional, efficient service to support the needs of the business, their customers & supply chain on a full-time permanent basis.
You will ensure compliance is maintained to the relevant accounting standards, Companies Acts and that statutory reporting timescales are me - as well as providing accurate, relevant reporting to senior management to facilitate informed decision making.
Reporting to and supporting the Head of Group Finance, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
*Managing & supporting (developing & mentoring) members of the finance team,
*Compile group management accounts pack on a monthly basis,
*Compile year-end statutory accounts for audit,
*Coordinate the annual budget process,
*Review debtor & creditor balances, acting / reporting as required,
*Manage cash balances, ensuring sufficient cash balances across group of companies,
*Complete statutory reporting for VAT, PAYE etc,
*Compile the managers payroll & submit to payroll bureau,
*Develop systems & processes,
*Liaise with outside agencies as and when required,
*Participate in adhoc projects as required.

*Available / able to start in March / April 2022
*Degree-level education + min. 5-years post-accountancy qualification SME experience. Candidates who are qualified-by-experience would be considered,
*Extensive knowledge and experience of both management & financial accounting preparation and requirements,
*Solid technical accounting knowledge,
*Strong analytical skills,
*Effective English communication skills (written & verbal), confident in presenting financial information to senior management,
*Attention to detail, proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision,
*Strong IT skills incl. Microsoft Navision, Excel and Office.

*Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum (subject to experience)
*Up to 7% per annum KPI & Company Performance Bonus
*Hours: Full-Time (early Friday finish)
