Job Title: POS Assistant

Responsible to: POS Manager / Head of Marketing / Marketing Manager / Buying Director

Hours: Monday to Friday (Full Time / 8am to 5pm)

Location: Fareham

Start date: ASAP

Duration: Temporary 3 months

Hourly Rate: Negotiable
  • Input all data as supplied by the Buyers for accurate creation and printing of all POS requirements
  • Create and Print all POS as required
  • Ensure POS is labelled correctly and ready for collection by the store delivery driver daily
  • Communicate in a clear and confident manner with customers and colleagues via phone and email
  • Keep the Computer Database Systems (POSER) up to date and accurate
  • Create any Ad Hoc POS when required
  • Keep the POS Department and your Work Station clean and tidy
  • Ensure that all printing equipment is maintained and report any hardware or software problems to the POS Manager and the IT department as soon as they appear.
  • Under the Line managers instructions order all printing materials from suppliers. e.g. Paper, inks and laminate material.
  • Provide Franchise printing cost reports to The Marketing Manager when the POS Manager is on annual leave or sick leave.
  • Assist with moving stock when required
  • Adhere to Health & Safety regulations when operating all Computers, Printers and cutting equipment and maintain a safe working environment
  • Attend any training when required
  • Order stock as and when required under the direction of the POS Manager
  • From time to time you may be required to work additional hours. These hours will be directed by the POS Manager/Marketing Manager
  • Undertake jobs outside of your role for the benefit of the business

Knowledge and Experience Required
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet production deadlines Broad understanding of computer systems, computer applications and operating systems
  • Experience in Photoshop or digital design software and advantage
  • Experience in Microsoft Office suite essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to handle a high volume of telephone / email enquiries in a sometimes stressful environment
  • Ability to work; accurately whilst prioritising own workload; independently and as part of a team, and be an effective and flexible team member
  • A creative flare is an advantage

  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to communicate with colleagues and customers in English language
