The Audience Agency (TAA) is an entrepreneurial, non-profit supporting the cultural sector and creative industries to increase their reach, develop their relevance and boost their resilience in the UK and internationally. We work with arts, cultural, heritage and creative organisations to help them understand their audiences, develop their strategy and evaluate their activities.
We are also the developers and custodians of Audience Finder, the free national audience data and development tool and service, which allows organisations to understand, compare and apply audience insight.
About the Role:
The postholder will play a key role in the smooth running of the organisation by providing leadership of the finance and operational services. You will manage the day-to-day financial processes of the organisation; work closely with the senior management team to support budgeting, management accounting and reporting; and improve the HR and operations infrastructure to support the whole organisation's work. Through this work, you will ensure our financial and operational processes are effective and efficient as well as contribute to the development and support of a healthy working culture.
We are looking for someone who wants a varied role and can manage competing priorities. You will need to be strong on process and detail, with excellent organisational skills, but equally be able to work with a varied group of staff and deal with sensitive issues from time to time. You will have led a small Finance team or worked at senior level in a larger team. You will have the ability and interest (and ideally experience) in wider HR and operational issues.
Key requirements are:
Leadership / Management experience and knowledge
Sound knowledge and understanding of financial management procedures.
Able to communicate effectively with finance and non-finance colleagues at all levels
Able to manage HR operations, governance and office management.
We are interested to hear from applicants from a range of backgrounds and with a variety of experiences. Currently our organisation is majority white, cis-gender and non-disabled. We believe our work will be stronger with greater diversity andwelcome applications from those who bring difference.
