Role Info:

IT Support Engineer – Full or Part Time
Windsor or East Berkshire Based + Travel Across Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey & West London
£20,000 – £25,000 + 20 days holiday + Public Holidays, Pension Scheme, Generous Mileage Allowance

The IT Support Engineer Opportunity:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in our growing technical delivery team for motivated IT Support Engineer. The individual will represent us by providing IT support and project delivery for education customers based in Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey & West London as well as in house and remote projects.

You will need to demonstrate a high level of technical skills coupled with great communication and customer support experience. The role is based on site at our major customers and also within our head office located in Windsor, Berkshire. The ideal candidate will be located somewhere in the East Berkshire area. A driving license and access to your own transport is required – a generous mileage allowance is paid for business travel. All candidates will be required to be DBS security checked.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated technical expert to gain exposure to a wide range of technologies and work within a fast-paced environment with the full support of our consultancy that has over 20 years' experience in IT service delivery.

We seek an individual with at least 3 years of customer-facing experience in almost any sector. Technically, you will need a minimum of one years' experience in a commercial IT support role and ideally a technical qualification in a relevant field. Candidates with recent Microsoft technical qualifications will be highly regarded.

IT Support Engineer Required Skills:

+ Office365
+ Windows Desktop (7/8/8.1/10)
+ Active Directory / Group Policy
+ WiFi and Cellular Technologies
+ Basic Networking; Firewalls / Routing / NAT etc.
+ VPN Technologies
+ Telephony Exposure
+ PC Assembly & Fault finding

Desirable skills:

+ Network switching
+ MS SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016/2017

Relevant Qualifications (any of below would be great…):

+ Degree Level IT Qualification or demonstrable equivalent industry experience
+ SonicWall SNSA/CSSP
+ Professional Body Membership; BCS / IET


+ 1+ Years in client-facing hands-on technical role
+ Excellent English verbal & written communication skills
+ Positive / can-do attitude & confident dealing with stakeholders at all levels
+ Confident and outgoing
+ General passion for IT & technology
+ 5 or more GCSE’s including English
+ Smart appearance
