We are seeking an experienced Grant Fundraiser to join a dynamic and fast moving Charity

Our client is a national charity which works to transform the lives of disabled children and their families, this is a fantastic time to join them as they are going through an exciting period of growth.

Position: Grants Manager

Location: Homeworking with regular travel to Newcastle-Under-Lyme

Salary: up to £35,000 basic plus £5,000 bonus

Contract: Full time, permanent (Flexible working hours)

About the role:

As Grants Manager you will lead the Grants Team in driving forward exciting organisational programmes and initiatives, by securing external funding. Engaging with grant-making trusts and foundations, you will explore and identify opportunities for funding, developing relationships with grant managers and foundation trustees.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Generate income by research, design, writing and submitting applications and appeals for funding
  • Assist in the development of bid winning proposals
  • Develop and present short, medium and long-term funding strategies
  • Deliver a targeted programme of trust and grants fundraising.
  • Identify, profile and prioritise new trusts to develop a funding plan to achieve income targets
  • Review existing and previous funders to assess potential for further collaboration

About you:

To be successful in the role of Grants Manager you will be a confident and effective grant fundraiser, with a strong track record in producing successful, high quality applications and tenders, with the ability to identify and work closely with private trusts and foundations. You will be able to communicate compelling messages in written form and have excellent interpersonal skills to influence and engage with individuals at all levels.
