Birmingham 2022's Venue Technology team is growing! We need Deputy Venue Technology Managers to assist Venue Technology Managers (VTM) in planning, deploying and project managing all aspects of Technology within their assigned venue.

Responsibilities

Support the Venue Technology Manager in leading the overall planning, design, delivery, implementation, testing, operation, decommissioning and reinstatement of all technology services and solutions required at your assigned competition or non-competition venue(s).
Contribute to the detailed venue design and overlay planning process for your venue(s) in a manner consistent with the overarching technology strategy, ensuring that the technical and operational spaces, power, HVAC, containment and structures required by Technology functional areas are incorporated in venue designs.
Assist the VTM in venue operational planning and technology allocation design sessions with other functional areas, helping to record technology requirements and create space layout plans, ensuring that they can be delivered within the constraints of the project.
Develop effective working relationships with incumbent venue teams, the venue overlay team, venue general managers, sport competition managers and other key venue stakeholders.Please see the job description for a full breakdown of the position responsibilities.

Skills and Experience

Essential

Project management experience through study modules, organising group tasks, extracurricular activities or other projects.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Excellent interpersonal and client facing skills.
Able to demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in their approach to shifts and out of hours working.
Able to translate technical terminology into easily understandable business terms.Desirable

A recent graduate or working towards a degree in IT or a related discipline.

Contract: Fixed Term until August 2022
Location: One Brindley Place, Birmingham (full time office-based)
Salary: £25,000 - £29,000
