Data Centree Project Manager - Deliverables-based contract

Location: London Bridge, with flexibility to work from home


Supporting one of our key customers in Central London, you will be joining our energised and focussed Programme and Project team to support a major Data Centre migration project.

With a demonstrable background in Data Centre migrations, you will have previously managed large scale and highly visible projects within a complex technology environment.

Accountabilities of the Data Centre Project Manager include:

* Define and agree the Approach, Plan and Resources required to deliver the scope of the IT Infrastructure work

* Ensure that the designs of the IT infrastructure solutions comply / align with the underlying infrastructure strategy and design principles

* Work closely with internal Management, business stakeholders and external stakeholders to develop optimum solutions and service models

* Deliver effective and comprehensive RAID management including proactively

* Identify and manage any risks to the project

* Identify and manage all internal and external resources whether financial or human resources required to complete projects successfully

* Manage all relevant vendors and suppliers as needed

The successful Data Centre Project Manager will be able to demonstrate:

* Extensive Data Centre/Infrastructure Project Management experience - ideally PRINCE2 Practitioner

* Strong Azure knowledge and experience

* Technically able in each of the Data Centre/Infrastructure capabilities that are in scope of the project

* Able and comfortable in converting project scope definitions into manageable groups (project phases and work breakdown) and determining an effective approach for completing the work.

* Budgeting, cost and resource management

* Vendor management, Statement of Works and Commercial frameworks

* Dealing with ambiguity and comfortable with priority setting

* Business stakeholder management

* Project reporting - extensive experience in reporting project status, progress, and issues within the project team as well as to managers and staff, and relevant Business stakeholders

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills

Experience of working within the Healthcare industry will be highly regarded.

As well as being able to start work immediately, it is imperative that you have demonstrable experience of supporting IT change across a large, complex organisation, where resilience and robustness is paramount in the delivery of successful technology outcomes.
