Business Size: £50m turnover business.
Ideal Candidate: Good academic profile. Fully qualified. Currently FD in a £40-70 million business or Senior Finance role in a larger corporate.

We design and manufacture our products from our 5 sites in North Manchester and operate international bases in Germany, France & the USA.

Due to the pending retirement of the present incumbent we are seeking a Group Finance Director the role will be primarily Office Based but this may change in future to more flexible working policies. Reporting directly to the CEO and as a member of our Senior Management Team, this diverse role has responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of this unique circa £50m turnover business.

The Group Finance Director Role:

+ Take overall control of the group’s accounting, and IT functions
+ Look to engage proactively in the commercial decision making including identifying and progressing acquisition opportunities.
+ Manage or Undertake all Company Secretary and compliance requirements consequent with such a role.
+ Lead and manage the finance and IT teams, ensuring that all internal and statutory deadlines are achieved.
+ Maintain strong working relationships with external parties and advisors such as auditors, bank, lawyers and insurers, ensuring that regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies in all jurisdictions are met
+ Deliver business critical projects such as financial planning, company acquisitions/disposals
+ Have overall responsibility for all cash management policies

The Candidate:

+ We are looking for an exceptional CIMA / ACMA / FCMA qualified accountant
+ The ideal candidate will already have experience as an FD or Senior Finance Manager in a Manufacturing environment and ideally will have familiarity with consumer goods industries.
+ Previous experience of working in a private/family-owned business environment would be advantageous
+ IT literate, able to lead in technical discussions and be ahead of new technologies and understand how to use systems for competitive advantage and to help leverage our SAP investment.
+ High integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance
+ Energetic, highly motivated, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success.
+ Previous experience of overseas trading would be desirable.
