Job Title: Senior Analytics Manager - Loans

About Us:

We are a fast-growing social FinTech company giving Credit Unions in the UK access to a state-of-the-art fintech ecosystem. Our aim is to grow a select group of Community Lenders into a network of challenger banks offering a viable alternative to high-cost lenders.

We are a small and dynamic team of about 35 people, offering you the opportunity to have an immediate impact on the business and grow with us. We have grown 2x in size over the last year and based on our current trajectory, we aim to become the biggest player in the non-prime UK personal loan market.

The Role:

The Commercial Analytics team is responsible for delivering insights and analysis which drives strategies that enable My Community Finance to achieve its growth ambitions while giving the best experience to its customers and partners. The Existing Products & Channels team seeks to optimise the pricing, product feature set, and marketing strategy of our existing product offerings (Loans and Savings) to drive profitable growth and increase the marketing efficiency. It is also responsible for designing and managing existing customer strategies to drive loyalty and improve customer experience. It is a very important role in the company influencing decisions that affect a range of internal teams and external partners and having a major impact on the company bottom line.

  • Set out the vision and analytical agenda for the team that helps deliver the overall business goals
  • Create a test-and-learn framework for optimising strategies and define a data-driven pricing strategy for the loans and deposit products
  • Build and maintain pricing models, and create processes for regular review of product pricing to react promptly to change in credit risk, market, and competitive landscape
  • Build and maintain valuation models (P&L and cash based providing NPV and IRR views)
  • Review existing MIs, and build additional MIs, if necessary, to monitor strategies, and conduct regular meetings with internal and external partners to update results
  • Liaise with Credit Risk teams to ground Risk assumptions into Pricing and Valuations models, and to optimise the operational underwriting processes
  • Optimise the aggregator channel strategy to minimise costs, and create testing strategy for expanding into newer channels
  • Define strategy for launching SEO, SEM, and direct marketing
  • Analyse the conversion funnel to minimise drop-offs and improver marketing efficiency
  • Conduct website analytics to improve website conversions and drive better customer experience
  • Analyse existing customer data, data from aggregators, and credit bureaus to come up with strategies for loan top-ups and retentions
  • Present analysis and insights directly to the C-level execs in My Community Finance and Credit Unions
  • Conduct hands-on data analysis, as and when required, to achieve the above objectives

To be successful in the role, the candidate should:

- Preferably have a degree in a numerate (STEM) discipline

- Ideally have 6+ Years of experience in Analytics, preferably Retail Banking

- Be well versed in statistical techniques and have an understanding of statistical models. Prior modelling experience would be preferred

- Have experience in coding and data manipulation using SQL and SAS / Python (Pandas, numpy)

- Have an understanding of Retail banking industry, and P&L modelling for Loans and Deposits

- Be able to translate business problems into conceptual analytical problem statements, identify relevant data sources, extract and analyse data, and communicate the 'so-whats' and actionable insights in a simple manner
