Job Title - Payroll Administrator (Part time)

Location -West Malling, Kent

Salary - £neg

On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Part time Payroll Administrator who will be responsible to the Human Capital Manager. The successful candidate will ensure payroll activities are processed effectively and in accordance with monthly deadlines

As a key member of the time you will be managing two monthly payrolls for approximately 250 employees in total using Sage 50 Cloud.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Gather data and information from a variety of sources and carry out a range of data entry and analysis activities.

-Maintain and update employee records for starters and leavers.

-Processing of statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, SPP, pensions/auto enrolment, absences and childcare,

-Ad hoc payroll administration and time sheet processing.

-Submission of payroll returns to HMRC via Government Gateway.

-Year-end P60 submission

-Year-end submission for P11D using Sage P11D module

-Being the main point of call for payroll related matters

-Liaison with internal and external auditors on a period basis

-Experienced in end-to-end payroll processing and software operations, with strong IT skills -Very high standards of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong numerical ability and data entry skills

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Key Requirements

-Good understanding of Microsoft Office packages, particularly proficiency in Excel with the ability to confidently manipulate data

-Capability to work to deadlines

-Full understanding of employee confidentiality and data protection with the appropriate handling of sensitive information

-Ability to work under direction and as part of a team

Working hours:

56 per month Hourly rate: £12.50 (£8400)

To enable continuity of payroll processing, the applicant must be aware that whilst we can offer some flexibility in the spread of the hours over the month, there are key times during the monthly processing cycle when annual leave would be restricted
