About the role

Transmission Private is a multi-award-winning boutique PR and communications agency that supports the world's most successful people & families. Our clients include members of The Sunday Times Rich List and the Forbes' Billionaires List .

We are hiring a Senior Account Manager who will be responsible for leading on client accounts, including liaising directly with the clients; coordinating press, media, & digital strategies; and managing two Account Executives.

You already know the core skills of PR and are ready to put those skills to use on your own high-profile accounts. You will put your hard-won communications techniques to work on a day-to-day basis to manage the reputations of key individuals.

You will be given a high degree of responsibility, making high stakes decisions about the best way to advance the interests of clients. You will be supported by the Managing Director of the business, but you will also be given the freedom and scope to make your own recommendations. You will be trusted.

You will build an enviable network of business journalists, supporting some of the most in-demand entrepreneurial voices amongst the press. You will work with some of the country's most notable entrepreneurs, liaising with them directly and advising them on the best way to manage their reputations. You will build connections with some of the UK's most prominently entrepreneurs.

You will join a high-end boutique agency, which will give you the opportunity to build and hire your own team as the agency grows. There are clear routes for progression, as well as routes to build new skills across all areas of the agency.

The successful candidate may also be looking for Senior Account Manager or Account Director roles.

About you

  • At least five years' experience in similar roles, potentially as Account Executive or Junior Account Manager level in a corporate or financial PR context

  • Experience writing and distributing press releases under time pressure, especially in the context of managing difficult or sensitive stories, leveraging press releases to manage the narrative around important news and announcements

  • Experience working with journalists directly on stories, and handling media interest effectively in a way that always secures the best result for the client; a strong track record of building deep and trusted relationships with important members of the press

  • Experience in reputation management and digital profile management, including conducting SEO activity to ensure that a client's online and digital profile is up-to-date, accurate, and fully representative; an understanding of the importance of digital as a way to manage the reputation of high-profile individuals and their businesses

  • Experience in managing or supporting other junior members of staff, and providing them with clear instructions to support the execution of a PR account and work items; a track record of supporting team members, effective management, and helping junior team members build new skills

  • Experience liaising with clients directly to both manage expectations and deepen relationships, with a view to identifying new client needs and ensuring that clients are always satisfied with workstreams carried out for them; track-record of setting, managing, and delivering calendars of work that deliver value to clients
