Pulpex is a new packaging technology company with a mission to deliver sustainability through renewable paper based packaging. What we do .....we make paper bottles!

Our Sawston-based R&D team is changing the world of packaging on a daily basis. We are currently designing the next generation of industrialised paper bottle production equipment with out Corporate partners.

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Technical Project Manager to join our team to help oversee the delivery of the next generation of paper bottle production equipment design, manufacture and installation. You will be accountable for driving the project plans as well as reporting risks, costs and emergent issues of a new generation of industrialised paper bottle production equipment.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
  • Successfully deliver projects from inception to agreed business outcomes, following quality standards and within agreed baselines of time, budget and scope.
  • Managing stakeholder relationships, managing expectations, defining and agreeing scope, facilitating key decisions.
  • Developing the project plan, deliverables and milestones to successfully deliver the
  • business outcomes, identifying and sourcing resources to achieve time and cost expectations
  • Resolving dependencies, issues and risks within delivery.
  • Ensure delivery adheres to the Project Management Policies, Standards and Methods and
  • Governance Framework Active participant in the community of practice, actively
  • engaged in professional development.
  • Experience managing successful business and technology change projects, from inception through to / exit criteria achieved.
  • Experience shaping business ideas and initiatives into detailed project plans for multi-workstream delivery to achieve business outcomes.
  • Experienced at leading people
  • Analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, identifying and managing
  • dependencies, risks and issues to ensure successful delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage with all levels of the organisation,
  • providing timely and meaningful communications to update status, share progress
  • and manage expectations of stakeholders

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical, engineering or scientific subject
  • 10+ years experience
  • Strong business acumen in project planning and management
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills

Our Mission

Pulpex bottles will launch from late 2021 in brands sold by our consortium partners. Consortium partners currently include Diageo, PepsiCo, Unilever, GSK Consumer Healthcare and Castrol. In time, Pulpex packaging will be more broadly available.
