Financial Accounts Assistant (Fixed Assets)
Location - Chertsey
Salary - £112-£115 Per day
Duration Ongoing contract

Summary of a Financial Accounts Assistant

This role is part of the financial accounting team. The role will be responsible for the fixed assets administration, external reporting and general finance administration.

Responsibilities of a Financial Accounts Assistant
  • Maintaining an accurate record of the Fixed Asset Register which contains over 4,000 assets across the business, ensuring that cost centre changes are kept up to date for audit trail purposes
  • Month end reporting & reconciliations for Fixed Assets
  • Month end balance sheet accounting for company VAT accounts and subsequent monthly reconciliations
  • Update processes of logging and tracking assets in order to achieve the highest standards of HQ's Bi-Annual Health check
  • Liaison with wider business with regards to Fixed Asset coding & decision making
  • Collation of requested evidence to support the team's quarterly & annual external audit deliverables
  • Completion of National Office of Statistics forms
  • Journal posting of allocated items to the correct employees cost centre
  • Providing additional ad-hoc financial admin support as required by financial accounting team

  • Ability to manage as well as invent, select, decide innovative directions to solutions.
