Apprentice trained / time served engineer
Experience within FMCG / Packaging Manufacturers
Multi Skilled Engineering Background
Experience of GMP, Modern Manufacturing Techniques & Implementation
Strong People Management & Interpersonal skills
Computer Knowledge - SAP Engineering Shift Manager - Responsibilities

The Shift Manager will ensure the effective and efficient maintenance and operation of plant, machinery and services and the proficient management of engineering staff on shift, to enable the production unit to operate within budget and to production targets and product quality standards.

Effectively prioritise, co-ordinate and control all engineering related tasks, materials and human resources to ensure efficient continuity of production and flow of information throughout the engineering function
In conjunction with the Production Management, ensure the continual availability and safe operation of efficient plant and machinery, across all shifts, by the effective implementation, operation and updating of the planned maintenance programme
To recommend, support and introduce improvement initiatives to improve team performance and to develop a culture of continuous improvement within the team
Maximising production output through effective rectification of machine faults, preventative maintenance work and continuous improvement activities
Identifying, planning, and implementing a continuous training and development program in line with IIP principles, which enhances process departmental and people skills
Recommending, supporting, and introducing improvement initiatives to improve departmental, team and individual performance and efficiencies
Ensuring all documentation and recording systems are maintained to high standards on a daily basis in accordance with ISO 9001:2000
Maintaining a high degree of both product and personal safety in accordance with HSE, EHO and HMCE requirements, ensuring adherence to all legislative requirements and by the implementation and auditing of risk assessments controls and HACCP About Us
