The Site Engineering Manager will, as the name suggests, head up the small engineering team for this SME in the food industry.
There is a need to modernise current process and practices to ensure the site are robust enough and have the maximum efficiencies to meet the demand that will come from the upturn in business.
Working with the engineering team, upskilling, and developing where appropriate and generally modernising current practices.
Reviewing shift patterns against business need to ensure optimum site support.
Implementing a fully operational PPM process.
Being that presence on the site and in the factory, the go to engineering specialist for the business.
A clear and confident communicator as part of the site's Senior Management Team.
We need to discuss this role with engineering candidates who have the following experience:
Food industry is essential to really understand the dynamics of the business and to lead the team.
Good examples of driving improvements in other engineering roles.
People management that demonstrates the ability to see individual strengths and to draw on key skills and abilities to make a complete and effective team.
A manager who knows their team, yes KPI's will be set and monitored, but real leadership is knowing, working with and understanding each individual. The size of this site allows for this level of detail.
Project management experience would be an advantage for planned capital expenditure.
The site has a great buzz, the business has incredible long lasting customer relationships, and their future growth is tangible.
