My client is a large client payroll accountant in Chester. Based in a small but lively team you will be managing a portfolio of clients and leading the team Our client is looking for a Payroll Supervisor to join them on a permanent basis.

Job Description

Reporting directly to Head of Payroll, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of weekly and monthly payroll.

Responsibilities

Full end to end Payroll
Small personal portfolio of larger more high profile clients around 20
One to ones
Appraisals
Performance reviews
Helping and supporting the team/ technical guidance
Escalated queriesRequirements

Payroll Supervisory experience.
Previous experience processing client payroll at a high volume ideally working within a bureau environment.
Need to be up to date on legislation and pension's knowledge preferable.
Strong team player
No nonsense attitude to work
Good knowledge of payroll legislation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Good systems skills including MS Excel, SageBenefits

Annualised hrs (expected to work longer at end of month etc) can take this time back in Leiu
23 hols increase with service
Extra training courses on anything they want - excel/systems/degrees
