New Business Sales Manager

The Role -

We are looking for a tenacious, self-motivated New Business Manager. The role requires someone who is capable of independently finding and opening accounts for the Agency.

You will be responsible for introducing new clients to artisan and selling the service we offer from full marketing campaigns and brand Id through to video production and digital marketing, including web design and build to the more conventional graphic design services we provide. You will then be required to oversee these projects with the support of the experienced team already in place to completion, whilst continuing to manage a regular new business strategy.

The role will involve managing multiple new accounts and clients, the New Business Sales Manager reports to the Commercial Director.

Responsibilities -

The New Business Sales Manager will identify potential new clients, and when working with them to develop a long and frutifil relationship, the responsibilities of which will cover, on completion of a successful induction programme -

  • Identifying, meeting and liaising with new clients to discuss and fulfil their requirements
  • Briefing agency colleagues to provide a service that accurately meets the new clients brief, budget and timeline expectations
  • Presenting alongside Agency colleagues (in particular the senior creative team) the ideas and budget to the client
  • Ensuring that regular contact is maintained with all clients to fulfil the role of the New Business Sales Manager for the new clients and to ensure the Agency is aware of the requirements of the client.
  • Communication skills are required to ensure that all new clients are kept up to date of projects and in return good reporting skills to the business advising of the client's requirements
  • Negotiating with both new clients and the Agency team to ensure all details required are met and completed

  • Attending project presentation meetings in preparation for either approval or amendments
  • Controlling budgets, managing costs and invoicing clients
  • Reporting - Internally and Externally
  • Analysis and measurement of campaign effectiveness
  • Undertaking the necessary administrative tasks for the role
  • Arranging, managing and attending new client meetings
  • Ultimately making "pitches' with Agency colleagues to win new business for the Agency.

Salary -

· Dependant on experience

Working Hours -

· Hours are 8.30am until 5.30pm Monday to Friday. There may be a call for earlier starts later finishes in order to meet deadlines for clients. Weekend work is rare.

  • The working environment is generally informal, Smart dress is often the norm for the role.
  • The role can involve socialising with and entertaining clients
  • The work may be stressful and demanding, for example meeting tight deadlines, juggling various client demands, generating new and creative ideas on a regular basis for both new and existing clients
  • The New Business Sales Managers role is predominantly office based, there will however be travelling involved to clients for meetings and presentations
  • Finally, the New Business Sales Manager's role can be very exciting and rewarding

Qualifications -

  • The role is open to all but the following will be regarded as a pre-requisite to fulfil the role completely.
  • Proven Sales success in the industry
  • Communication Skills/Media/Social Media Platform Knowledge
  • Web design and functionality understanding
  • Print and production knowledge
  • A good command of the English Language
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Marketing Agency/Business
