About the Role
As Outdoor Leisure & Christmas Department Manager, you will be focused on ensuring the outdoor area including furniture, outdoor living and Christmas is presented to the highest standard. You will be excited about providing excellent customer service and encouraging the team around you to do the same. You will offer advice to customers while upselling products and be able to create excellent visual displays. You will be confident in stock control, working closely with the buying team to ensure the best products are readily available.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a garden centre or retail environment and be looking for a new challenge. You will have great retailing knowledge and an interest in passing this knowledge onto colleagues and customers. You will be confident in running a small team and can train, develop, and motivate the people around you. You will have a commercial mind, knowing stock control methods, increasing add-on sales, and acknowledging areas of improvement within the areas you cover.
